1. Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect your first name, last name, and email address. You may optionally provide a mobile phone number to receive SMS alert notifications. When you set alerts, we store the stock ticker, condition, and target price associated with your account. We also collect usage data such as pages visited and interactions with the site through Google Analytics (see section 4).

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used solely to operate the TickrAlert service — specifically, to authenticate your account and to send you email or SMS notifications when your alert conditions are met. Your mobile number, if provided, is used only to deliver those notifications and is never used for marketing. Alert activity such as which tickers are being watched and what alert types are set may be used in aggregate, anonymized form to power the public Trending page. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share data only with the following third parties as necessary to operate the service:

• Stripe — processes subscription payments. Billing and card data is stored by Stripe directly and is subject to their privacy policy.
• SMS delivery provider — if you provide a mobile number, it is passed to our SMS provider solely to deliver alert notifications.
• Cloud hosting and database providers — your data is stored on secured cloud infrastructure.
• Google Analytics — collects anonymized usage data to help us understand how the site is used (see section 4).

We may also disclose information when required by law.

4. Analytics & Cookies

We use Google Analytics to collect anonymized data about how visitors use TickrAlert, including pages visited and general usage patterns. This data does not identify you personally. We also use encrypted session cookies to keep you logged in. Session cookies do not track you across other websites and are removed when you log out or your session expires.

5. Shared Alerts

You may choose to share an individual alert via a public link. When you do, the ticker, condition, and target price of that alert become visible to anyone with the link. You can remove the shared link at any time from your alerts page.

6. Data Security

Your password is stored using industry-standard hashing and is never stored in plain text. All data is stored in a secured cloud database with encrypted connections.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing us at tickralert@gmail.com.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of TickrAlert after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
